"Fullness of the Gospel" Book of Mormon is said to contain the fullness of the Gospel, but that the Bible does no longer contain the fullness of the Gospel. But what I haven't been able to find yet is what it is exactly that is found in the Book of Mormon that is part of the fullness of the Gospel, that is now believed to be missing from the Bible?

If something does contain a logical impossibility, then it cannot be true. Mormonism teaches an infinite regression of causes. This means it teaches that each god was made a god by a previous god. This further means that as far back as you look in time, this process has always been occurring.

The Book of Mormon, Doctrines and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and the teachings of Mormon Prophets are on the same level of authority as the Bible. About Salvation: Marty believes salvation is defined as being physically resurrected and exalted to godhood (i.e.

What are the implications of the Bible's gospel when considering the teachings of Mormonism. The Book of Mormon is the keystone of our witness of Christ, our doctrine, and our testimonies.

The Book of Mormon teaches plainly the doctrine found in the missionary lessons. Use the Book of Mormon to answer the questions of the soul and to respond to objections to the Church. Read consistently from the Book of Mormon with the people you teach. One may safely conclude that the authenticity of the Book of Mormon is supported by both the testimony of the flesh-and-blood Book of Mormon witnesses, such as Martin Harris and David Whitmer, as well as the testimony of the ink-and-paper Book of Mormon manuscripts.

Notwithstanding its orthodox representation of that gospel, the Book of Mormon takes a position on certain historic theological questions. For example, while teaching the reality and catastrophe of the Fall, the prophets of the Book of Mormon reject notions of human creatureliness and depravity.

Humans are not utterly foreign to God’s being. THE BOOK OF MORMON: A BOOK OF MISTAKES, ERROR, AND FRAUD by Jon Gary Williams INTRODUCTION The Mormon church promotes the Book of Mormon as an inspired writing. I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to some ex-Mormons who opened my eyes starting on April 1, Jeremy Runnells, John Dehlin, Jerald and Sandra Tanner, Grant Palmer and Lee Baker.

Thus the Mormon Church, from its very beginning, has declared that all of Christianity is false and that the true Gospel was lost and only restored years later by its founder and prophet, Joseph Smith. This is a belief Mormons normally do not like to discuss with non-Mormons.

Question: "How should Christians view the Book of Mormon?" Answer: When Mormon missionaries (properly called Latter Day Saints or simply "LDS") come to your door, they will often offer a free copy of the Book of Mormon and tell you about its author, Joseph Smith. Smith, they will say, translated the Book of Mormon from golden plates he dug up in a hill in New York in the early s.

The Book of Mormon contains many linguistic similarities to the King James Bible (KJV). In some cases, entire passages are duplicated in the Book of Mormon. Sometimes the quotation is explicit, as in the Second Book of Nephi, which contains 18 quoted chapters of the Book of Isaiah.

Other significant connections between the two books include Book of Mormon words and phrases that only appear in. Mormons are Christians. Mormonism is centered on Jesus Christ and His role as Creator and Redeemer. He is not only the center of Mormon worship, He leads the Church personally through revelation to His prophet (the President of the Church) and by giving the authority to church priesthood-holders to act in His name.
