Chad, great post, and really great question. What to do with the Book of Mormon’s “most striking claim”? I’m of two minds. My recent encounters with Ben Spackman’s work, especially this talk, have exposed me to the idea that God reveals himself via the principle of the words of Kenton Sparks, “accommodation is God’s adoption of the human audience’s. "Fullness of the Gospel" Book of Mormon is said to contain the fullness of the Gospel, but that the Bible does no longer contain the fullness of the Gospel. But what I haven't been able to find yet is what it is exactly that is found in the Book of Mormon that is part of the fullness of the Gospel, that is now believed to be missing from the Bible?
